Ultimate love of a husband and wife. DVD release of the film Maboroshi no yamataikoku depicting a real character Kohei Miyazaki who is a trigger of Yamataikoku boom in Japan and his wife Kazuko. Yamataikoku is an ancient country in Japan during the late Yayoi period (in 2nd - 3rd century.) A totally blind former railroad worker, Yohei becomes obsessed with finding the ancient country of Yamataikoku, governed by the legendary shaman queen Himiko. His passion for finding Yamataikoku was first ignited when he uncovered ancient earthenware while he repaired rail after concentrated heavy rains. Now he is blind and completely depends on his wife Kazuko to travel the Kyushu region where he believes Yamataikoku existed. . . Special edition includes bonus disc with unreleased scenes, documentary of the film, cast & director interview, press conference, event footages, TV spot, photo & poster gallery and more (subject to change.) |
